Christine loves a quote from Jefferson which mentions the archives of our soul and the history of our lives. She believes these things are what we take with us when we approach the blank canvas.

Using vivid color, she goes without a clear plan, and waits to see what transpires, and where it leads. The results differ, but her own handwriting is clearly identifiable. There is an object which appears, but within abstract and painterly brushstroke.

She wants the viewers to see more clearly, think more deeply, and find a spark of joy for themselves.

Christine holds a BA in studio art from Trinity University. She also has a MA from Western Carolina University.

She has attended numerous advanced classes over the years at UNCA, and was for 5 years, the private student of Jamie McWhorter, a former professor of art at the University of Louisiana.

Her work is hung in many private and corporate collections throughout the US. She has held one woman shows, primarily in the Ruth Taylor Gallery in San Antonio Texas Gallery, and was a featured artist in the AGA, of which she was a founding member.

In Asheville she has shown at the Holden Gallery, the AAM , the NC Stage, Edna's, and has won many competitions in juried art shows. She was the featured artist at the Chifferobe in Black Mountain in 2015.  She was last represented by the American Folk Gallery.
