Christine loves a quote from Jefferson which mentions the archives of our soul and the history of our lives. She believes these things are what we take with us when we approach the blank canvas.
Using vivid color, she goes without a clear plan, and waits to see what transpires, and where it leads. The results differ, but her own handwriting is clearly identifiable. There is an object which appears, but within abstract and painterly brushstroke.
She wants the viewers to see more clearly, think more deeply, and find a spark of joy for themselves.
Christine holds a BA in studio art from Trinity University. She also has a MA from Western Carolina University.
She has attended numerous advanced classes over the years at UNCA, and was for 5 years, the private student of Jamie McWhorter, a former professor of art at the University of Louisiana.
